Earl Douglas Dundonald issued an email to clan council members noting the use of the Cochrane Coat of Arms which are displayed on clancochrane.org on the upper right hand side. These Coat of Arms were created especially for Earl Douglas Dundonald and his family and are not to be used by anyone else in any form whatsoever. Use of these Coat of Arms, especially commercially are infringing upon international copyright laws and will be asked to stop the use of this image. Any continued use is subject to prosecution.

To clarify: the Cochrane Crest, which is displayed on the upper left hand side of clancochrane.org and displayed on this site above, may be used at will.
